 | WELCOME TO THE TOYOTA PROFESSIONAL AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICAN WEB SITE (TPAT) Toyota and UTI working together to develop the Toyota Professional Automotive Training (TPAT) Program to recruit, train, and place Service Technicians in the 1400 Toyota, Lexus and Scion New Car Dealerships. Toyota, which includes our all-new youth oriented Scion line, as well as our luxury division, Lexus, is a strong and growing company in the U.S. and the world. In 2003, Toyota became the number one selling car brand in the U.S. This is the first time a non-U.S. headquartered company has held that position in the 100-year history of the automobile industry. Toyota dealers are growing and expanding all across the U.S. to meet the needs of our expanding customer base. TPAT is an exciting, new elective for UTI students and is offered at the UTI's Glendale Heights, IL campus. TPAT will give UTI students the opportunity to be trained on Toyota products from bumper to bumper. TPAT instructors are Toyota trained and Toyota certified. As a TPAT student, you will have the opportunity to work on high quality, cutting edge vehicles and technology, from the Scion Tc to the Toyota Prius with its gas/electric hybrid drive system. After completing the training at UTI, you will be eligible to receive credit in the Toyota Technician certification system by completing an eight week paid Externship Program at a Toyota/Lexus dealership. Technicians with this certification credit are in high demand in our service departments. Toyota is looking for only the very best to work on their customers cars because at Toyota customer satisfaction is the highest priority. We need technicians that can maintain, diagnose and repair today's modern automobiles correctly, the first time.
